Arbor Wood Co. Fuels Company Growth with Two New Strategic Hires in Sales & Marketing
Domestic producer of Thermally Modified Wood adds key members to continue growth in the US building materials market.
Arbor Wood Co. has added two new members to the team as sales continue to grow for the Duluth-based company. Andrew Ellingson joins the team as the Director of Sales & Marketing alongside Geanna Johnson, Architectural Sales Manager. The hires come at a crucial time as the US market for thermally modified wood is heating up.
Arbor Wood Co.'s thermally modified wood is a technical application which improves long term outdoor durability and stability using only heat and steam. The result is an attractive, all-natural wood product that doesn’t rot or decay and is very stable in all climates. They currently produce decking, siding, and dimensional lumber for architects, designers, and builders for both residential and commercial applications.
The new hires both come with years of industry experience and skills that fit well with the needs of the growing company. Ellingson grew up in the building industry before spending 8 years with Twin Cities based Marketing Agency, SixSpeed, where he worked with leading brands including Polaris, Red Bull, BFGoodrich and more. His knowledge of the built environment combined with strategic marketing expertise, positions Arbor Wood Co. for sustained growth within the industry.
“I’m looking forward to telling the Arbor Wood Co. story and raising awareness of Arbor Wood Co. on a national scale. The industry is in need of sustainable building materials that are good for people and planet.” says Ellingson.
Geanna Johnson comes to Arbor Wood Co. With over 20 years in the A&D industry as a designer and architectural sales representative for several high-end building products. She makes her transition from a similar role at European based Thermory, where she helped grow the North American business over the last 4 years.
Geanna says “Working with thermally modified wood has been especially fulfilling and gives me the opportunity to deliver a superior quality product that provides sustainable and long-term solutions and, little by little, is actually changing the way the world thinks about wood.”
Jon Heyesen, CEO of Arbor Wood Co., said, “Andrew and Geanna are extremely talented individuals who both possess the industry experience Arbor Wood needs to support our vision and growth goals. We’re fortunate to have them join the team.”
2023 will be an exciting year for the company with plans to open a new manufacturing facility in the first quarter of the year. In addition to the new facility, the company will be bringing on additional distribution partners, making it easier for architects, designers, builders, and homeowners to source Arbor Wood products for their projects.
