Siding
THE performance-driven Eco-Conscious option
Arbor Wood Co. thermally modified wood siding uses domestically sourced and sustainably harvested timber. Thermal modification allows for wood not naturally suitable for exterior applications to be successful because of its compositional change on a cellular level. A performance-driven and attractive material, Arbor Wood is a sustainable option for your next project.

FINISHES
It is recommended to finish Arbor Wood with an exterior UV protective surface finish. Our products have minimal expansion/contraction properties and can be finished with standard products, such as paints and clear coats. Clients should expect slightly longer dry times because of the non-absorbing nature of the material. We recommend the use of Cutek Extreme penetrating oil and UV color tones.
SAFERWOOD THERMEX-FR
Arbor Wood with SaferWood Thermex-FR is compliant with Chapter 7A WUI of the California Building Code [CBC] and California Residential Code [CRC], and is CALFIRE SFM Listed.
color change
Thermal modification changes the naturally occurring sugars in the wood resulting in beautiful, rich tones which extend through the full thickness of the material. Since Arbor Wood is still a natural product, the grain and unique characteristics of the wood remain. In an exterior environment, Arbor Wood will move to gray when unfinished and the application of a UV inhibitor helps maintain the original color.
