Driftless Longhouse

The Driftless Longhouse is a modern take on the Scandinavian longhouse design. Built on a bluff in the driftless area of western WI along Lake Pepin in Bay City, WI, the home has a distinct feature in the dogtrot breezeway connecting the front area to the back, which offers a glimpse into the views from the back side of the home. Completely clad in thermally modified southern yellow pine that will gradually move to grey to become one with the surrounding nature and landscape.
