The Ford Calumet Environmental Center. An icon of the Calumet region and a testament to how smart architecture can shape a healthier environment and in turn, a better future.
Arbor Wood Co. thermally modified ash was chosen for this project due to its longevity and ability to age naturally with the building. Also featured is one of our favorite weathering steel products: Corten steel. The result is a living building that will age gracefully into its environment while providing a sanctuary for all to learn, explore and grow.
