Lake Hattie Residence
Perched above the Lake Shore in Minnesota, this custom built home showcases the natural character and refined performance of Arbor Wood Co.’s Natrl Line of vertical grain thermally modified pine. From the beginning, the design called for a clean, uninterrupted vertical siding application—making the continuity of the wood grain an important part of the overall aesthetic.
The owner and builder selected Arbor Wood Co. to achieve that vision, using the cladding in a way that minimizes visual interruptions around windows and doors. Each board carries its own natural grain pattern, creating a façade that reads as clean and cohesive from a distance while revealing depth, movement, and variation up close. The result is a modern lake home exterior that lets the character of real wood become part of the architecture.
